We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated social worker to join our dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team providing in-patient care for clients with mental disorders/illnesses living in the inner city area. Operationally the Social Worker Grade 1 is responsible to the In-patient Service Coordinator and professionally to the Mental Health Services Senior Social Worker.

The successful candidate will have:

• the ability to deliver high-quality client care
• experience in mental health or hospital social work
• strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
• the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

The following attributes are also desirable:

• experience working with families/carers
• an understanding of the Mental Health Act 2007 as it relates to social workers.
