Course Rundown
The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) offered by Aged Care Training Services is designed for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of the elderly and those with disabilities. This nationally recognised qualification equips students with the essential skills and knowledge to provide personalised support in various settings, including aged care facilities and community services. The course covers key areas such as facilitating empowerment, supporting independence, and recognising healthy body systems, ensuring graduates are well-prepared to meet the diverse needs of their clients.
With a blended delivery model that includes virtual classroom training, in-person clinical practice workshops, and a mandatory 120 hours of practical placement, students gain hands-on experience while learning. The course duration is approximately 12 months, allowing for flexibility to accommodate individual learning needs. Aged Care Training Services is committed to supporting students throughout their journey, providing resources and guidance to help them succeed in their careers.

Eligibility
To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- Obtain a police check/certificate prior to practical placement and/or,
- Willing and physically able to do practical placement and/or,
- Undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment so that the appropriate support can be provided and or sourced and/or,
- Access to the internet, a computer with a camera and microphone, and have basic computer literacy and/or,
- The ability to work autonomously and a commitment to attend virtual sessions.
