The ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security) is a nationally recognised online qualification that equips learners with specialised skills to protect organisations from cyber threats and digital vulnerabilities. This course is offered by SkillX Academy, with delivery and assessment conducted under the same RTO registration by South Sydney College (RTO Code: 45279).
Across 52 weeks of self-paced online study, learners will explore key areas such as network security, digital forensics, threat intelligence, disaster recovery planning, and security architecture. The course also develops soft skills in communication, teamwork, and ICT project management — ensuring graduates are ready to work in real-world technical environments.
This nationally recognised qualification is delivered via a flexible, interactive platform with recorded webinars, trainer-led workshops, and simulated workplace activities. Learners can also customise their study experience with optional add-ons like one-on-one mentoring, 24/7 AI tutor access, or extended course access.

Eligibility
To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have completed Year 10 or equivalent overseas study, or demonstrate relevant vocational or workplace experience
- Domestic learners must provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI); offshore online learners (not on a student visa) are exempt
To successfully complete this course, you’ll need to:
- Have access to a computer/laptop with webcam, microphone, headset/speakers, reliable internet, and Microsoft Office (or equivalent)
- Maintain access to required technology and study resources
- Complete Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Skills (LLND) evaluation to identify any additional learning support needs
