Payment Plans and Discounts
For full fee-paying students, MCFE offers an easy payment plan that allows you to pay your fees in instalments over the duration of the course. If you pay a portion up front, you can receive a discount up to 30%.
Skills First Funding
You may be eligible for a government-subsidised place through the Skills First Funding Program. If you are eligible, the government will contribute to the cost of your training. Enquire to check your individual eligibility. There are limitations to using Victorian government funding, you need to make sure you are using your funding for the right course, as it may affect your access to future government funding.
General Eligibility Criteria
1. Evidence of citizenship/residency, you must be either:
a. an Australian citizen;
b. a holder of a permanent visa; or
c. a New Zealand citizen
2. You can enrol in a maximum of 2 funded qualifications and 2 funded skills sets in one year
3. You can undertake up to 2 funded programs at one time
4. At MCFE we require you to be 17 and over and not enrolled in high school to access funding

This course is designed with the needs of the contemporary education industry in mind, and covers essential subjects such as classroom support, behaviour management, communication and collaboration with teachers and other professionals, planning and implementing educational support programs, and legal and ethical considerations in the field of education support.
The course also features 100 hours of practical work placement at an approved primary or secondary school which will give you the experience you need to hit the ground running in any education support role nationally.

Delivery
This course is delivered over 26 Sessions, average duration is 10 months to include practical experience in a workplace. There are:
– 22 x 5-hour theory sessions (Online or On Campus)
– 3 x 6-hour practical skills classes (On Campus)
– 1 x 8 hour First aid class (On Campus)
– 2 x Assessor workplace visits and 100 hours of work placement at an approved primary or secondary school
– Recommended 15 hours of self-paced learning per week
Assessments include theory question online via our learning management system, oral questions, projects, and observations of skills.
