How Much Will It Cost?

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, you may not need to pay upfront.

Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees directly to the provider on your behalf. You’ll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $54,435 (2024-25 financial year).

Course Rundown

Lead the digital transformation of healthcare and learn to design, develop, implement and manage leading digital health technologies with La Trobe University’s online Master of Digital Health. This course can be completed in 2 years of full-time study or 4 years part-time.

Throughout the course, you’ll study the latest digital transformation trends, innovations, frameworks and models, translated specifically for the health sector. The Master of Digital Health course aligns with the Australasian Institute of Digital Health’s (AIDH) Health Informatics Competency Framework, ensuring you gain the most relevant and leading-edge skills.

You’ll complete 16 subjects totalling 240 credit points, including Big Data in health, the Internet of Medical Things (IoT), virtual models of care, digital health communication, health informatics and more.

Choose from a broad range of electives or build specialised knowledge in key technical areas such health data & business analytics, applied ehealth & health informatics, public health, digital marketing, technopreneurship, cybersecurity & artificial intelligence. Then put your knowledge into practice when you complete a digital health-focused project addressing a healthcare need or opportunity.

To do this course, you need an undergraduate degree in any discipline with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65% or above.

If you want to advance your career without pursuing a full degree, a Graduate Certificate in Digital Health is also available. This 60-credit program can be completed in six months full-time.
