Re: Warehouse Manager position

Dear Ms Stocker

I am writing to apply for the position of Warehouse Manager at Box It Operations, as advertised recently on SEEK.com.au.

I am a hard-working warehousing/logistics professional with 10 years of experience running the efficient operation of company warehouses and storerooms. My background has included supervising staff, stocktake, maintaining inventory levels, loading/unloading, receipts and despatches, safe use of forklifts and other equipment, and dealing with AQIS and customs.

As warehouse manager at Logistica, I supervise a team of 30 staff and am responsible for training, instructing and supervising. Many of my staff members are young and inexperienced so it is vital that I provide comprehensive training, maintain motivation levels and offer plenty of feedback, especially in regards to safety hazards.

In addition, I am a highly organised person, with strong time management, decision-making and problem-solving skills. In my present position, as well as my previous position at Metric, my role involves balancing many responsibilities, including maintaining stock levels and providing on-floor customer service, in addition to staff management. I am required to prioritise tasks and ensure that the warehouse is running smoothly at all times.

With a strong commitment to the safety of my sites and teams, I have been nominated as a member of the safety committee in a number of my roles. I have in-depth knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and always follow Workplace Health and Safety Regulations.

My qualifications have provided a theoretical framework for my experience in the industry. I have a Bachelor of Business in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and a Certificate IV in Frontline Management, and have completed many professional development courses to keep my skills updated.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my eligibility for this exciting role in person. Please find my resume attached and feel free to contact me if you would like any more information.

Kind regards

Peter Pallett
