Course Rundown
The Bachelor of Game Development (Game Programming) offered by CG Spectrum Institute is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the video game industry. This course focuses on teaching students how to plan, develop, and implement immersive and interactive games using Unreal Engine. Under the guidance of industry professionals, students will learn to master the tools and techniques required to succeed as game programmers.
Throughout the course, students will gain a deep understanding of game mechanics, AI programming, and debugging gameplay. The curriculum also covers essential interpersonal skills such as communication and problem-solving, which are crucial for success in the industry. The program is delivered 100% online, offering flexibility for students to study at their own pace. Graduates will complete the course in two years, which is shorter than the typical three-year degree, and will have the opportunity to create industry-level work that will catch the attention of recruiters.
Diploma Exit
Students can choose to exit the bachelor’s degree after trimester 02 with a diploma or continue their studies through to trimester 06 and earn their bachelor’s degree.
Eligibility
To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- Completion of a Year 12 Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (for example, VCE, QCE, WACE, HSC, SACE, etc.) or equivalent; and/or,
- Completion of a certificate III level qualification, or higher, issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF); and/or,
- Completion of a certificate IV level qualification (for example, a TAFE Diploma) issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF); and/or,
- Completion of a diploma-level qualification issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF); and/or,
- Experience-based entry – for applicants who do not meet any of the requirements above.
