These are exciting times here at Career FAQs! We’ve just launched our brand new website, re-designed to make it easier than ever to find information on courses that will help you in your career, plus all the other career information you rely on. We’re now receiving 400 000 visitors a month, which means that there are millions of people every year who are building up their education and careers with the help of our unique and comprehensive content.

Re-designing the website has meant sitting down and thinking hard about what exactly we do, and how we can do it even better. As the online authority for distance education and career resources, it’s our job to help you pursue your dream career and find out how to get there with the right courses. And now we’ve made that process easier than ever!

Take a good look through our new site and discover all the additional features and improvements. Here are just a few of them:

New look

Those who have visited Career FAQs before will first be struck by the new look and feel of the site. We hope you like it as much as we do – it’s cleaner, funkier and more intuitive. The core features, such as the course search and careers info, are easier to access and navigate. All the info is still there, but with less clutter.

Improved search functionality

Searching for courses and career information has never been easier. We’ve made the course search function as useful and easy-to-use as possible, so you can search by course type, industry, qualification or keyword using our Course Finder search tool. Or you can browse by provider and choose a course from one of our leading vocational education or university partners. Once on an industry page, you can refine your search even further by industry specialisation, qualification or course type (online, correspondence, on campus).

We’ve also refined our keyword search, so you’ll find exactly the course you’re looking for. It’s all designed to help you find the answers you need easily and quickly.

Compare your favourites

If you want to keep a record of the courses you’re interested in as you come across them, you’ll love this nifty new feature. By clicking on ‘Add to favourites’ for any course, you’ll be able to save up to five favourites for later perusal and comparison. When you’re ready to view your saved courses, just click on ‘Favourites’ on the top nav bar. You’ll see your courses and all the vital information stacked up for easy comparison of qualification, enrolment dates, financial options, study time, delivery method and eligibility. No more scribbling multiple notes or trying to keep track of course details in your head. You can also send multiple course enquiries simultaneously, so you can get information from various providers with minimal fuss and time.

It’s your lucky day

The new Career FAQs website has a fun new feature that’s sure to bring a smile to your face – and maybe even give you a new career idea. Introducing the Career FAQs Career-o-meter! Click on ‘I feel lucky’ (the brown tab in the Course Finder) and see what happens!

The ‘I feel lucky’ feature is an easy and fun way to get an idea of a career that could suit you, based on how you rate your level of creative flair, your appetite for adventure and your attention span. Not sure about what career would suit you? Take a punt and give it a go!

Our homepage now spotlights four feature news articles, making it easy to see what’s happening in the world of careers and education. We’ve still got our full archive of topical and authoritative news articles, which you can view in our News & Views section.
