The course combines online theoretical learning with practical work placement, ensuring that students gain hands-on experience while mastering the fundamentals of animal care.

Throughout the course, participants will explore key areas such as animal hygiene routines, health care assistance, and effective communication within the workplace. The program also emphasises environmentally sustainable practices and workplace health and safety, preparing students for the diverse challenges they may encounter in their future roles. With a minimum requirement of 10 full days of work placement, students can choose to complete their practical training at an approved location or at the academy, providing flexibility to suit individual schedules and preferences.
