After achieving this qualification, students may undertake the CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability.

Throughout the course you will complete a total of 12 units of competency, including seven core units and five elective units.

Students will also be required to complete a minimum of 120 hours of practical work experience within an Approved Service, giving you the opportunity to test out your skills as well as gain real-world experience required to hit the ground running once you commence employment in the industry.

Upon completion of this course, you will have the skills to assist allied health professionals in various areas, helping to implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions. You’ll also develop strong communication skills and gain the opportunity to work in sectors like aged and disability support, child welfare, hospitals, and more.

Throughout the course, students will engage with nine core units and six elective units, covering topics such as individualised support, communication in health services, and infection control practices. A significant component of the training involves a minimum of 120 hours of practical work placement, allowing students to apply their learning in real-world settings.
