Throughout this comprehensive course, you’ll gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to help you manage and supervise construction work. From tender documentation and structural principles to cost estimations and hiring of contracts, you’ll cover all the areas you need to excel in the next stage of your career.

BAA offer two streams for this program, depending on your level of experience in the industry.

Standard Stream: Part-time, two nights per week of facilitator-led classes for 62 weeks.

*Total duration is typically between 66 to 70 weeks when taking into account holidays including Christmas shutdown.

Experienced Stream: Part-time, two nights per week of facilitator-led classes for 52 weeks

*Total duration is typically between 56 to 61 weeks when taking into account holidays including Christmas shutdown.

You may require up to 8 hours per week outside of class times to complete additional learning and assessment activities, yet this will vary based on each learner.

Eligibility

To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

  • If entering the experienced stream, must be currently working in the building and construction industry with at least five years experience, or have already obtained a Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) (CPC40120); OR
  • If less than five years experience, must enter the less standard stream.
