Course Rundown
The Bachelor of Digital Art (2D Animation) offered by CG Spectrum is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the skills needed to excel in the film and games industry. This degree focuses on breathing life and personality into 2D-drawn characters, props, and environments using specialised software like Toon Boom Harmony. Students will gain a firm grasp of production pipelines and creative workflows, preparing them for a thriving creative career.
Throughout the course, students will develop creative, technical, interpersonal, and conceptual skills essential for success in the industry. The program is delivered 100% online, offering flexibility and the opportunity to create industry-level work that stands out to recruiters. The degree can be completed in just two years, allowing students to join a global community of over 4000 students, graduates, and industry artists. The curriculum includes advanced digital and cut-out 2D animation techniques, principles of biology, physiology, and anatomy, as well as valuable interpersonal skills such as communication, problem-solving, and leadership.
Diploma Exit:
Students can choose to exit the bachelor’s degree after trimester 02 with a diploma or continue their studies through to trimester 06 and earn their bachelor’s degree.
Eligibility
To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- Completion of a Year 12 Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (for example, VCE, QCE, WACE, HSC, SACE, etc.) or equivalent; and/or,
- Completion of a certificate III level qualification, or higher, issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF); and/or,
- Completion of a certificate IV level qualification (for example, a TAFE Diploma) issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF); and/or,
- Completion of a diploma-level qualification issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF); and/or,
- Experience-based entry – for applicants who do not meet any of the requirements above.
