The CHC40225 Certificate IV in School Based Education Support, offered by Suzan Johnston Organization, is a nationally recognised qualification for people who want to work alongside teachers and support students in Australian schools. Often referred to as a Teacher Aide course, this qualification develops the practical skills and knowledge required for education support roles across primary, secondary and specialist school settings.
Delivered through flexible, self-paced online learning with practical school placement, the course allows students to fit their studies around work, family and other commitments. Students complete 17 units of competency and develop skills in literacy and numeracy support, inclusive education, behaviour support, supporting students with disability and autism, student wellbeing, child safety, and legal and ethical responsibilities within an education setting.
