The BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management, offered by the Engineering Institute of Technology, is a nationally recognised qualification for professionals looking to build advanced leadership and management skills. Designed with engineering, technical, operational and project-based environments in mind, this course can support students who are ready to step into more senior roles or take on greater responsibility at work.
Delivered online over 18 months, the course is structured to fit around full-time work and other commitments. Students take part in weekly live interactive webinars, complete set readings, and work through assessments such as written assignments, quizzes and short practical activities. Students are expected to spend around 10 to 15 hours per week on their studies.
Throughout the course, students develop skills in critical thinking, organisational change, leadership, innovation, continuous improvement, digital strategy, communication, business planning and risk management. These skills can be applied across a range of workplace settings, particularly in technical, engineering, operational and management roles.

Eligibility
To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet one of the following entry pathways:
- Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package, including current or superseded equivalent versions; or
- Have two years of equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role in an enterprise
Applicants must also meet one of the following English language requirements:
- Satisfactory English language proficiency at an English pass level in a Senior Certificate of Education, or equivalent; or
- A recognised English language test result, such as IELTS or equivalent, with a score of at least 5.5 and no individual band score below 5.0; or
- Satisfactory completion of another course offered by EIT, or another tertiary institution, in English
