Course Rundown
The Certificate IV in Human Resource Management, offered by Hader Institute of Education (RTO 45162), is a nationally recognised qualification designed for people working in, or moving into, human resources roles. Whether someone is stepping into HR for the first time or looking to formalise skills they have already developed in an administrative or business support capacity, this course provides a structured, practical pathway into the people profession. It is built around the values of fairness, inclusion, and genuine care for employees and workplaces.
Delivered through a blended online learning model, the course runs over 12 months and combines weekly live trainer-led Zoom sessions with flexible self-paced study through an online learning management system. Learners can expect to dedicate around 26 hours per week across live classes, independent study, and assessment work. No work placement is required — practical skills are developed through realistic workplace simulations, role plays, and case studies completed within the virtual classroom environment. Trainer support is available throughout, with responses provided within 72 hours on business days, optional monthly one-on-one mentoring, and regular check-ins from a dedicated learner support team.
The course covers a broad range of human resources functions, including recruitment and onboarding, performance development, employee and industrial relations, learning and development, and work health and safety. Learners also build skills in communication, presenting, facilitating meetings, and coordinating workplace resources. Upon successful completion, graduates receive a nationally recognised certificate and academic transcript issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework, which is recognised across Australia. The qualification can also serve as a pathway into further study, such as a Diploma of Human Resource Management. Enquire to learn more.
Please note: This course is fee-for-service, it is not government funded.
