Course Rundown

The CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services, offered by Celtic Training, is a nationally recognised qualification designed for people who want to build a meaningful career in community services or case management. The course prepares graduates to manage, coordinate, and deliver person-centred services to individuals, groups, and communities, working with a degree of autonomy under broad direction from senior management. The course includes 100 hours of vocational placement, planned in collaboration with the student, employer, and a vocational placement officer. Delivered online over up to 12 months, it covers case management, crisis response, mental health support and working with diverse communities. Students also develop skills in work health and safety, legal and ethical compliance, promoting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural safety, domestic and family violence response, and reflective professional practice.

Eligibility

To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Completion of grade 10-12 or equivalent
  • Demonstrate a satisfactory level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) abilities
  • Must be able to obtain a federal police check
  • Students require a mandatory influenza vaccine and may also need a COVID-19 vaccine to begin work placement.
