203 CoursesThese courses can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, you may not need to pay upfront.
Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees directly to the provider on your behalf. You’ll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $54,435 (2024-25 financial year).

Am I eligible for FEE-HELP?
You must be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa and meet the residency requirements. The course must also be with an approved FEE-HELP provider. See the full eligibility details at StudyAssist.gov.au.
What’s the difference between HECS-HELP and FEE-HELP?
HECS-HELP is for students in Commonwealth-supported places at university. FEE-HELP is for full-fee-paying students in eligible courses. Both allow you to defer payment and repay via the tax system.
Do I pay interest on FEE-HELP loans?
FEE-HELP loans are not charged interest, but they are indexed annually in line with the cost of living. This keeps your loan aligned with inflation.
How do I apply for FEE-HELP?
When you enrol in an eligible course, your education provider will give you a Request for FEE-HELP Assistance form. You must supply your tax file number and Unique Student Identifier (USI).
